    For a slice of hidden New York history, head to the Hess Triangle. In 1910, 300 buildings were demolished in the West Village. David Hess couldn't save his five-story apartment complex, just a small piece of triangular ground which he mosaic-tiled with the words: "Hess Estates property that has never belonged to the public".

Passport, visa and health requirements

The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. Excursion

Admission to the Whitney Museum of American Art is valid for one day. The museum is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 10:30 - 18:00, and from 10:30 - 22:00 on Friday and Saturday. Your tickets will be sent with your travel documents before departure.
