Hanging Bridges in Arenal (day 5 - 5 hours - min age 5)
Experience the amazing flora and fauna of this hike that goes along jungle trails and 15 dizzying suspension bridges. You will be followed by an English-speaking nature guide who will teach you about the fascinating tropical rainforest, and which will show you beautiful views of the Arenal Volcano.
Pedal boarding in Arenal (day 5 - 5 hours - min age 8)
Are you into adventure, nature and water sports? Then pedal boarding is for you! On a pedalboard (not to be confused with a SUP board!) you feel as though you are walking on water across Lake Arenal. Along the way, your guide will teach you about the nature and wildlife of the area.

Tamarindo National Park protects a large area of mangrove forests and tropical dry forests in an area of almost 400 hectares. This boat trip allows you to observe the rare wildlife - including dozens of bird species and various species of monkeys, crocodiles and iguanas.

Passport, visa and health requirements | The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. Rental car information | You will get a Suzuki Jimmy or similar depending on the size of your party. The car rental company is Payless Car Rental (tel: +506 2430 4647). You will get the car on day 4 in Guacimo and you must return it to the airport on day 14. In case your return flight is outside office hours, it is recommended to return the car on day 13 and take a taxi or public transport to the airport on day 14. If you collect your car outside opening hours (daily from 06:00 AM to 10:00 PM) there may be an extra charge for the entire rental period. This surcharge must be paid locally. This amount can be refunded by us afterwards. Deposit: The primary driver must own a credit card in their own name with an amount available to cover a maximum deposit of £2500. Debit cards can not be accepted. Driver: The primary driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license valid for at least two years prior. Drivers aged between 21 and 24 will be charged an additional fee of $15 per day during the rental period. Extra drivers cost $10 per driver. Insurance: full insurance, non-life insurance, third party liability insurance, theft insurance, glass cover, tires, undercarriage and roof is included. |
