Optional excursions are available to make your trip even more spectacular. All excursions can be booked and paid for during the booking process. You will receive all practical information before departure. The local representative will meet guests on day 2 to discuss the details and times of your excursions.

• Excursion to the Mayan cities of Chichen Itza & Valladolid • Discover the famous and legendary Chichen Itza, one of the world's seven modern wonders. The first thing you will notice upon arrival in the area is the 25-metre high Kukulcán Pyramid (El Castillo), as well as the turquoise watering hole Cenote, which was the holy well of the Mayan people. After lunch, you will visit the beautiful villas, churches and squares in the Spanish colonial town of Valladolid. The trip lasts 10 hours and includes guide, transport and lunch.

• Catamaran excursion Isla Mujeres • Sail by catamaran to the Paradise Island of Isla Mujeres! The excursion starts at the port of Cancún, where you board the catamaran and sail for six miles out to the island. Arriving at Isla Mujeres, you have the opportunity to snorkel and discover the magical underwater life, visit the island's centre and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. The excursion lasts 10 hours and includes guide and transport.

• The islands around Isla Holbox • On this excursion, you will be sailed to the islands of Isla Pasion and Isla Pajaros, which, despite its small size, are home to a large number of birds - including flamingos, pelicans and ducks. You also visit the natural freshwater pool Yalahau Cenote before sailing back to Isla Holbox. The excursion lasts 4 hours and includes transport and guide.

• Snorkelling at Cabo Catoche • Located on the northernmost tip of the Yucatán Peninsula, Cabo Catoche is a true snorkelling paradise. In addition to exploring underwater life with mask and snorkel, you can learn to fish in the traditional way. On the way, you sail past mangroves, spot flamingos at Punta Mosquito and taste a freshly prepared 'ceviche'. The excursion lasts 8 hours and includes transport, guide and snacks.

Passport, visa and health requirements	The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements, before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

Children's discount	On the basis of two full-paying adults, a discount for children may be offered dependent on the chosen travel dates and length of stay. You will see the applicable discount in the final booking process.
Infant bed	Unfortunately, cots are not available throughout this trip.

Travel documents	You will receive all documents relevant to your trip, 7 days prior to departure at the latest
Passport	For travel in Mexico, your passport should be valid for the entire duration of your stay.
Visa	British citizens do not need a visa to travel in Mexico for tourism purposes. You will be asked to fill in an immigration form upon arrival.
Stopover USA	For flights connecting in the USA, British Citizens need to apply for an ESTA. This must be done online at least 72 hours before departure.
Vaccinations	All travellers should be up to date with primary courses and boosters. Vaccinations usually recommended for travel to Mexico include Hepatitis A. Consult your doctor or the NHS travel advice website for more information.
Currency	The national currency of Mexico is the Mexican peso (MXP).
Group travel	During this trip, transfers and excursions may be in groups of international travellers.
Quality standards	Please note that the quality standards of hotels, facilities, transportation and roads may differ from Europe.

Airport transfer	At the airport in Cancun, your driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your names. Transportation between the airport and the hotel can be a group transport with other travelers. You will receive more information about the transport along with your travel documents
