The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements, before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. For some countries (e.g. Singapore, Thailand), you may be required to complete a Digital Arrival Card or other immigration procedures prior to or upon arrival. We recommend that you complete any required digital forms as early as possible to save time upon arrival. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

The single supplement is based on travel dates and duration of travel. You will see the final price in the booking process.

Based on two full-paying adults per room, travellers will receive a discount on hotel stays for children 9 years and younger. This is dependent on the chosen travel period and whether the child sleeps in a separate bed. Please note: children up to 12 months old receive a discount on the plane ticket, but will not receive a seat or baggage allowance.

Unfortunately, cots are not available throughout this trip.

Pets are not permitted on this trip due to international plane travel.

All travellers should be up to date with primary courses and boosters. Vaccinations usually recommended for travel to China include Poliomyelitis. Consult your doctor or the NHS travel advice website for more information.

The official national currency of China is the renminbi (RMB). The international symbol for renminbi is the Chinese Yuan (CNY) - there are no differences between the two named currencies.

During this trip, transport and excursions may be in groups of international travellers.

At the airport in Beijing, your driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your name or the company logo. Transportation between the airport and the hotel can be in groups of international travellers. You will receive more information about the transport along with your travel documents.

In order to give you the best possible holiday, we sometimes offer trips where you'll be staying at one of a selection of hotels (all with the same star rating, board basis, room type and location). Mostly, you'll be staying in the hotel written up in our description, but we're unable to guarantee the exact accommodation featured on the website every time. We'll let you know the name of your hotel, at least 7 days before departure.

On the bullet train, there is a restaurant inside to buy coffee, snacks, drinks, fast food as well as typical Chinese lunch and dinners. Travellers can also purchase food and drinks from the conductors of the train.
