With this Norwegian break, you’ll be able to fill up your Instragram feed with far more than just the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis. Starting in Tromsø, you’ll find yourself at the heart of northern Norway's most northern city and home to breathtaking vistas with nearby mountains, fjords and a beautiful Arctic Cathedral.

A scenic transfer by road to your next destination will provide a tantalising glimpse of some of Norway's finest landscapes. Arriving at Malangen, an icy fjord sitting right on your doorstep and backed by jagged, snow-capped peaks will slip you swiftly into Scandinavian spirits. Whilst here, you'll head out on a husky ride and take part in a Northern Lights watch - there's no better place to do so as this area is a hotspot for sightings of the aurora borealis. You'll round this magical trip off with a final night in Tromsø.

From sledging across icy plains pulled by happy husky dogs, to trekking through soft snow with reindeer to get a glimpse into traditional Sami culture, winter in Norway is an adventure like no other. One of the most coveted sights of winter in Tromsø, however, is not on land. The reason most people are in Tromsø is to catch the most spectacular show on earth: the Northern Lights. Also referred to as Aurelia Borealis, the lights play by their own rules. Sometimes dancing across the night sky in vibrant shades of ethereal greens and blues, pinks and purples, and sometimes no more than a mystical whisp in the dark night sky. There is no guarantee that you will see them, but when you do, the wait will be worth it...
