Explore magnificent Moscow and enchanting St Petersburg with this city-hopping escape, including breakfast and all travel

Russia is the world's largest country and, as such, its cities offer a unique destination, whether you're after a culture-fuelled excursion or a laid back city break. Either way, you'll no doubt end up marvelling at Russia's artistic spoils throughout the day, before sipping vodka late into the night.

Kick things off in Moscow. A cosmopolitan yet cultural capital, it serves up both fascinating historic sights, unfathomable architecture and an art scene that spans the ages. You'll spend your first day visiting the St Savior Cathedral and the iconic Kremlin, and the second seeing a more local side to the city at the Izmailovo Flea Market and Arbat street.

From here, you'll hop on the high-speed bullet train and whizz up to St Petersburg, Russia's second city. This port city, once the imperial capital, was founded by Peter the Great and is the country's cultural centre, with art, ballet and opera at its heart. Here, discover the wonders of the Hermitage Museum, visit many a majestic cathedral and opt to cruise along the canal to see the city from another perspective. You'll even have the option to attend one of St Petersburg's world-famous ballets.
