Your journey begins in the capital, Oslo, where numerous museums, lively city life and the surrounding nature are waiting to be discovered by you. Then head further to the west coast, to the picturesque city of Bergen. The journey is just as exciting as the destination on this trip, as on the seven-hour train ride, you’ll get to know the beautiful landscapes of Norway, before reaching the charming medieval town of Bergen. An absolute highlight on 8 and 9 nights or optional on 6 nights stays, is the ride on the spectacular Flåmsbahn with a stopover in Flam, as well as an overnight stay in the artist town of Balestrand in summer, or in Flam in winter - directly adjacent to the fjords. Norway adventure by train between Oslo and Bergen, itinerary

You can choose between three different travel plans. Travel with a stay in Oslo and Bergen is available all year round (route A). If you would like to make a detour to Flåm and Balestrand, including a trip with the spectacular Flåm line, this is included in routes B and C. Route B also includes accommodation in Balestrand and route C includes accommodation in Flåm.

To make your trip even more unforgettable, you can choose one or more optional excursions for Route C with overnight stays in Oslo, Flam and Bergen in the booking process. You can choose from the following excursions:

Oslo panoramic city tour (approx. 3 hours, day 1, 2 or 3 depending on the route)
Explore the beauty of Oslo with the panorama bus, stop for a photo opportunity at the Holmenkollen ski jump, and visit the Vigeland sculpture park, including a 45-minute guided tour in English
Start: around 10:00 a.m.
Duration: about 3 hours
Meeting point: Haakon VII’s gate 1, Oslo (bus stop next to the toy store “Riktige Leker)

• Stegastein viewing platform over the Aurlandsfjord •
From the 650-metre-high platform you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Aurlandsfjord. Already on the way from Flåm to Stegastein you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. Enjoy the view for about 30 minutes and return to Flåm by minibus.

• Snowshoe hike Stegastein (bookable for the travel period 01/01/2021 to 03/31/2021) •
From Flåm you'll set off on a scenic drive to the Stegastein viewpoint. This is where the snowshoe hike begins with enchanting views of the Aurlandfjord and the mighty mountains. After the hike, you will be brought back to Flåm by minibus. This excursion is offered from January to March. In bad weather / unsuitable snow conditions, the snowshoe hike may unfortunately have to be cancelled.

Half board for the winter trip (Route C)
