• Isla Mujeres Catamaran Excursion (Day 9) • If you would like a taste of true island life, then you can take a catamaran trip to the dreamy Isla Mujeres from Playa del Carmen. You will be picked up at your hotel at 8.30am and taken to the port of Cancún. Here you board the catamaran that sails you through crystal clear water to Isla Mujeres, where you can discover the underwater splendour of the coral reef, explore the city and enjoy the traditional local cuisine. Afterwards, you can relax on the beach and swim in the crystal clear water before returning to your hotel. Includes: transportation, English- and Spanish-speaking guide, lunch at a local restaurant, drinks on the catamaran and snorkelling equipment. Exclusive: entrance fees. Duration: full day.

Children’s discount	Based on two full-paying adults per room, children under 3 years old will stay free in hotels, and children between 3 and 11 years old will receive a discount on the hotel price. This is dependent on the chosen travel period and departures dates. Please note: children up to 12 months old receive a discount on the plane ticket, but will not receive a seat or baggage allowance.
Pets	Pets are not permitted on this trip due to international plane travel.

Vaccinations	All travellers should be up to date with primary courses and boosters. Vaccinations usually recommended for travel to Mexico include DTP (diphtheria, tetanus and polio) and hepatitis A. Consult your doctor or the NHS travel advice website for more information.
Currency	The national currency of Mexico is the Mexican peso (MXN).

Similar accommodation	In order to give you the best possible holiday, we sometimes offer trips where you'll be staying at one of a selection of hotels (all with the same star rating, board basis, room type and location). Mostly, you'll be staying in the hotel written up in our description, but we're unable to guarantee the exact accommodation featured on the website every time. We'll let you know the name of your hotel, at least 7 days before departure.
Car rental	The main driver must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license. The main driver must have a credit card in their own name with a sufficient credit limit for the deposit. You will pick and up and drop off the rental car at the airport. Travellers should allow enough time to drive to the airport and return the rental car before the return flight.
Rental insurance	An excess risk applies in the event of theft or damage. A credit card deposit is required upon arrival. Comprehensive insurance, non-life insurance, liability insurance, theft insurance and cover for glass, tires, floor and roof damage is included. You will receive all rental car information along with your travel documents.
