Reef & Beach Resort
- Hotel
- Jambiani, Tanzania
Steps from the idyllic Shungi beach that’s lapped by Indian Ocean waters, this beautiful beach resort sits on the east coast of Zanzibar, Africa’s ‘spice island’. The resort is decorated in a traditional Zanzibari style, with thatched salas with high roofs and gauzy drapes to keep you cool.
Take a refreshing dip in one of the two outdoor pools, or unwind in peaceful guest rooms. When you're ready for refreshments, there's a beach bar serving cocktails as well as a laid-back lounge, ideal for sipping sundowners later in the evening. When it comes to the culinary offerings, a buffet and à la carte menu will tempt you, including African dishes prepared with love.

Optional excursions
To make your stay even more memorable, choose from the following optional excursions in the booking process:
• Spice Farm visit (half day) • Zanzibar was once known as the Spice Island, exporting fragrant herbs and spices all over the world. Take a tour of a spice farm village to get a delicious taste of authentic Swahili cuisine, and see the fresh spices straight off the plant.
• Stone Town visit (half day) • Explore the winding narrow streets of Stone Town, filled with important buildings that shaped the history of the island, including the Slave Market and the Sultan’s Palace Museum. You’ll also feel the bustling atmosphere of the spice markets, and soak up the atmosphere with an optional stop at the Zanzibar Coffee House for a delicious refreshment.
• Prison Island visit (half day) • Once bought by an Arab to imprison slaves, Prison Island never actually held any prisoners at all! Instead, this tropical haven is a home for magnificent giant tortoises and colourful fish in the warm waters. You’ll visit the tortoise sanctuary before exploring the island at your leisure, with the chance to snorkel or relax on the beach.
All excursions include a private transfer with driver and a local guide who will meet you at the destination.
