Passport, visa and health requirements

The passport, visa and health requirements (including those related to COVID-19) at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website. Vaccinations

No compulsory vaccinations are required when traveling to South Africa from the UK. However, a yellow fever vaccination must be proven when entering from a yellow fever area. For the most up-to-date travel medical prevention and advice, please ask your GP or look at the gov.uk website.

Passport

British citizens must have a passport to travel to South Africa. Travel documents must be valid for at least 30 days, or ideally 6 months beyond the day of departure and have at least two free pages for visa stamps.

Visa

You do not need a visa to enter South Africa from the UK.

Currency

In South Africa, the national currency is the South African Rand (ZAR).
