Starting off in Split, Croatia’s second-largest city, you’ll find a thriving nightlife within its ancient walls and the perfect start to a cruise that takes in this coast’s historic and modern attractions. Further stops on the islands of Hvar, Brač and Mljet will offer the opportunity to visit some of the Mediterranean’s most impressive national parks, the highest peak in the Adriatics (Vidova Gora on Brač Island) and discover the landscapes that inspired Homer’s The Odyssey. You’ll find even more culinary and cultural delights beneath the red roofs of Korčula and Dubrovnik, too.

Life below deck doesn’t disappoint either aboard the MB Otac Nikola. Lingering relaxation on Lopud island

If peace and quiet are high up on your priority list, then how about an island where no motor vehicles are allowed? Lopud embodies simple Croatian charm, with its ruined hilltop fortress, stone houses with terracotta roofs, and exotic greenery rising and falling with the island's natural slopes. There's a small beach in the town, but venture further out to sandy Šunj beach. Being an island, sea food is fresh and abundant here, so be sure to sample some of the local cuisine.
