South Africa packs a punch with wildlife, beaches, bustling cities and lush winelands - you’ll get the chance to discover its varied landscape on this nine-night adventure. Landing in cosmopolitan Cape Town, you'll spend three nights exploring this sprawling city at your own pace. Then, you'll speed off in your rented car to a wildlife game reserve just two hours from the Cape and enjoy a handful of days in safari bliss, spotting the Big Five. Rounding things off nicely: a stint in Franschhoek, where an abundance of wineries are waiting for you. Included is a hop-on hop-off ticket on the Franschhoek Wine Tram, which makes reaching all of South Africa's renowned wine estates that much easier - we'll drink to that.
Not only are a clutch of game drives included in this escape, but car hire makes it easy to explore all of South Africa's awe-inspiring offerings. Hopper Flight (Day 3)
Take off from the V&A Waterfront and enjoy a scenic flight along the Atlantic Coast. You'll see Cape Town Stadium, Lions Head, Clifton, Camps Bay and Twelve Apostles.
Cape Point and Peninsula tour (Day 3)
A scenic tour across some of Cape Town's most beloved natural landmarks. You'll be driven through the city and on to Hout Bay, a quaint seaside village with magnificent mountain views, before driving along the coast to Chapmans Peak Drive and taking in the scenery.
You'll enjoy a scenic coastal drive to Good Hope Nature reserve at Cape Point as you head towards Simmons Town, a historic village with charming architecture. Here, you'll Boulders Beach, home to a growing colony of the protected African penguin. Wooden walkways allow you to observe penguins in their natural habitat. Continue on to the well-known Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the last stop of the day.
