Day 1: UK - Istanbul, Turkey

Board your flight from the UK and land in Istanbul, where you'll take a private transfer to your hotel. Check in and enjoy its modern comforts, before setting out to catch a first glimpse of Istanbul's intoxicating draws.

Day 2: Istanbul

Today, opt to join a guided full- or half-day tour (£80 per person or £40 per person respectively, transfers not included). On the former, you'll enjoy a comprehensive visit of Topkapi Palace Museum, the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, the Sultan Ahmet Tomb, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome square, and the bustling Grand Bazaar, complete with shopping opportunities and lunch (drinks not included). On the latter, you'll spend the morning touring Sophia Grand Mosque, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar, before having an afternoon free to enjoy at your own pace.

Day 3: Istanbul - Cappadocia

Today you'll be transferred to the airport for a flight to Turkey's Cappadocia region, famed for its unique geological formations; these were created some three million years ago, when Mount Erciyes and Hasan erupted and spewed soft layers of lava and ash over the landscape. Upon your arrival, take a private transfer to your hotel, where you'll check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Cappadocia

Today you'll embark on a fascinating day tour of Cappadocia, during which you'll explore the centuries-old Uchisar Castle with its sprawling views across the region, the Love Valley with its intriguing chimney-like rock formations, and the Goreme Open Air Museum church complex. You'll also visit the utterly charming village of Cavusin, the Pasabag and Devrent valleys to see their unique formations and caves up close, and a pottery centre to perhaps pick up some local crafts to take home with you. This tour includes lunch, transfers, entry to the aforementioned sights, and an expert guide (drinks not included). Return to your hotel afterwards, to enjoy its superb facilities brimming with authenticity and charm.

Day 5: Cappadocia

Spend another day in Cappadocia, experiencing its otherworldly beauty at your own leisure. For a dose of bucket list-worthy thrills and commanding views across the region, you could opt to partake in a hot air balloon tour (£250, return transfers included).

Day 6: Cappadocia - Istanbul

Today, leave Cappadocia with a return flight to Istanbul, where upon arrival, you'll transfer back to your hotel for a final night. Make the most of your final few hours in this captivating capital; soak up its architectural splendour by night, get your fill of rich and hearty fare, and try your hand at something truly local and special, whether an evening cruise along the Bosphorus or a Sufi whirling performance.

Day 7: Istanbul - UK

Today you'll say your goodbyes to Turkey as you board your return flight to the UK.
