Depending on where you choose to start your tour, arrive in either Los Angeles or San Francisco, and kick off your bucket-list-ticking tour.

Day 3-4: Los Angeles or San Francisco

If you opt for L.A., you’ll be staying mere moments away from Beverly Hills’ famous sunset strip, with access to the best that L.A. has to offer. Day 5-9: Embark ship - At sea

Day 10: Hilo, Hawaii (Big Island)

Say "aloha" to laid-back Hawaiian life upon arrival in Hilo. Situated on Hawaii’s breathtakingly beautiful Big Island, this crescent-shaped bay is flanked by tropical rainforests, dramatic waterfalls and a line-up of stunning architecture that dates back to the turn of the century. The piece de resistance is the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home of the active Kilauea Volcano, bubbling with fiery red lava. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 11: Honolulu (Oahu)

Next, sashay around the tropical island's capital of Honolulu. First up, visit the sands of world-famous Waikiki Beach, where you can enjoy a swimming or sunbathing session, as well as dabbling in surfing, paddle boarding or most other watersports. The commanding Diamond Head crater provides a rugged, island-fresh backdrop to the hotel and is one of the archipelago's most famous landmarks. Then there’s the Waikiki Farmers Market, or hop in the car to ‘Iolani Palace to discover some of Hawaii's royal heritage. (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 12: Kaua`i (Nawiliwili), Hawaii

Boasting sensational mountain vistas, sparkling beaches and jungles dotted with free-flowing rivers, it’s little surprise Kaua`i is known as the ‘Garden Isle’. Spend your days exploring the 3,000-foot deep Waimea Canyon, an eye-catching lava canyon made famous by its rainbow-hued volcanic rock hidden among lush tropical vegetation or up the ante with a zipline experience through the rainforests of Haena. Day 13: Maui (Lahaina), Hawaii

Arrive on the beautiful island of Maui, and spend time exploring the paradisiacal surroundings. Stroll through the historic town of Lahaina, stopping to see the oldest living tree on the island at Lahaina Banyan Court before picking up some souvenirs on bustling Front Street. You’ll also have the chance to explore the island’s impressive landscape of pristine beaches, tropical plantations and jaw-dropping craters. Day 14-18: At Sea
