Day 1: UK - Night on board

At your chosen UK departure airport, board your overnight flight for Dubai.

Day 2: Dubai

Arrive into Dubai International Airport, where you'll be transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day getting to know your luxury five-star hotel's amenities, or venturing out to discover the city's buzzing bars and restaurants. Overnight in Dubai.

Days 3-4: Dubai

Boasting sleek style and glamour around every corner, the gleaming metropolis of Dubai is a dream for anyone who enjoys lavish excess. From the sky-grazing Burj Khalifa Tower to the iconic Burj Al Arab, you’ll be left marvelling at the impressive cityscape around you, and the 360-degree views from your luxurious five-star hotel offer the perfect vantage point to take it all in. Dubai has much more than just an impressive skyline of course, with luxury shopping in the sprawling Dubai Mall, the vibrant fragrances of the Spice Souk, and some gems of culture and heritage, including the Etihad Museum and Jumeirah Mosque. By night, enjoy the spectacular nightlife, or head to the desert for some tranquility beneath the stars. Overnight in Dubai.

Day 5: Dubai - Colombo

Check out of your hotel and transfer to Dubai International Airport for your flight to Colombo. On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by your chauffeur guide and transferred to your hotel in Colombo (transfer time: 40 minutes). Check in at the hotel and spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 6: Colombo

After breakfast, prepare for a 9.30am departure to explore Colombo City on a comprehensive, full-day tour. You'll drive through the city towards its busy commercial areas, followed by the tree-lined, residential Cinnamon Gardens. Sights on this tour include the Colombo Lotus Tower, the Fort central business district, the former British administrative centre and military garrison, Sea Street (the jewellery quarter in the heart of Pettah), the Bazaar area, a Hindu temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolvendaal which dates back to 1749. If time permits, you may also see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square. You'll then return to the hotel and spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 7: Colombo – Dambulla – Minneriya - Dambulla

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and prepare for an 8am pick-up and transfer to Dambulla (transfer time: three hours and 30 minutes). Check into your hotel and relax for a while, before embarking on a trip at 2pm to Minneriya National Park (transfer time: 50 minutes). Here you'll enjoy a safari, during which you'll be in for a chance to spot elephants, wild buffaloes, spotted deer, sloth bears, leopards, and much more. After the safari, return to your Dambulla hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8: Dambulla – Sigiriya – Dambulla – Polonnaruwa - Dambulla

Today, you'll be picked up at 5am for an early morning transfer to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress (transfer time: 40 minutes). One of Sri Lanka’s major attractions, this UNSECO World Heritage Site is also known as the 'Fortress in the Sky'. As you climb to its summit, explore water gardens, artistic frescoes, a mirror wall and the lion gate, all before being rewarded with marvellous panoramas up top. You'll then return to your hotel for breakfast, followed by an afternoon tour of historic Polonnaruwa at 2pm (transfer time: one hour and 30 minutes). After a day filled with unforgettable sights, return to the hotel and spend the rest of your time at leisure.

Day 9: Dambulla

After breakfast, you'll be picked up at 9am for a transfer to Dambulla Cave Temple. Part of the country's Golden Triangle and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient complex is the largest and best preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka, and is home to numerous religious and cultural paintings and sculptures. Opt to visit Hiriwadunna Village next, complete with lunch, or return to your hotel to spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10: Dambulla - Negombo

After breakfast, check out and depart your hotel at 9.30am to transfer on to your next port of call: Negombo (transfer time: three hours). There, check into your beachfront hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying its five-star facilities.

Day 11: Negombo

Spend the day fully at leisure, choosing to explore your surroundings at your own pace, or relax and unwind on your hotel's grounds.

Day 12: Negombo – UK

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your return flight to the UK.
