Day 1: UK/Ireland - Guatemala

Day 2: Antigua Guatemala

Enjoy a half-day tour of Antigua today, visiting the most important ruins of the Colonial City - once considered one of the most beautiful cities of America, it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1773. Tour highlights include La Merced Monastery, Plaza de Armas & the Cathedral. Overnight in Antigua. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Antigua Guatemala - Chichicastenango - Lake Atitlán

Take an early morning visit to the bustling Chichicastenango market, located in the central Guatemalan highlands, and visit the Church of Santo Tomas. Transfer to the picturesque Lake Atitlán and enjoy a panoramic tour of Panajachel. Overnight in Lake Atitlán. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Lake Atitlán - Guatemala City

In the morning, take a boat ride to the indigenous village of Santiago Atitlán, located between the Tolimán and San Pedro volcanoes. Explore the town and visit the church of Santiago Apóstol and the Brotherhood of Maximón, before returning to Panajachel to transfer to Guatemala City. Overnight in Guatemala City. Day 5: Guatemala City - Quiriguá - Río Dulce

Visit the Quiriguá Archaeological Park, located on the banks of the Motagua River, which is comprised of a complex of stela slabs, sculpted in sandstone, among which is the tallest stele of the entire Mayan world, as well as zoomorphic figures that date from the Mayans' classic period. Then, transfer to Río Dulce, where you'll spend the night. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Río Dulce - Livingston - Flores

Take a boat ride down the river to reach the town of Livingston, known for its reggae music and coconut bread. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the Castle of San Felipe de Lara - a 17th-century fortress - before moving on to Flores, where you'll spend the night. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Flores - Tikal - Flores

Today, explore Tikal - the most important Archaeological Site of the Mayan world. Your guide will show you the Q and R Complex, the Central Acropolis, the Temples I (The Great Jaguar) and the Temple II (of Los Mascarones). Enjoy lunch in Tikal before returning to Flores to spend the night. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

Day 8: Flores - Belize - Cayo San Pedro

Transfer to Belize, where you'll transfer by water taxi from Belize City to San Pedro, on the island of Ambergris Caye. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to begin your stay in one of Central America's most beautiful and best kept secrets. (Meals: breakfast)

Days 9-10: Cayo San Pedro

Enjoy time at leisure in Cayo San Pedro. Explore the idyllic beaches that are said to have inspired Madonna's hit song 'La Isla Bonita', or discover Belize's wonderfully diverse Barrier Reef with some snorkelling or scuba diving. (Meals: none)

Day 11: Cayo San Pedro - Belize - UK/Ireland

Transfer by water taxi back to Belize, where you'll head to the airport to catch your overnight flight home. (Meals: in-flight)

Day 12: UK/Ireland

Arrive back in the UK/Ireland.
