An enchanting Lapland adventure with a Northern Lights search - includes breakfast, travel, and an optional glass igloo stay
Lapland - a magical Winter Wonderland, home to Santa Claus, snowy landscapes, sparkling night skies and stunning wildlife. Glittering deep snow and white coniferous forests and frozen lakes, you might just see the dancing, colourful phenomenon of the Northern Lights, and with a night in a magical glass igloo on the shores of Lake Ranuanjärvi, you can bask beneath the panoramic views of the Lappish sky to gaze out at the dark night skies in blissful comfort. Located in the north of Finland, this is one of the most beautiful regions in the world, tucked away in the heart of Nordic wilderness. You'll be staying near the Ranua Wildlife Park, home to over 50 arctic species such as polar bears, arctic foxes and snow owls, and with entrance to the park included, you can explore its wealth of wildlife at your leisure. Embark on your own winter safari and try spotting musk ox, brown bears, wild boars and sea eagles.
Despite the cold, there's plenty here to warm your spirits - with unforgettable optional excursions to choose from, you'll have the chance to meet reindeer, Finnish horses, and more.
Please note that the Northern Lights are a naturally occurring phenomenon, and while we hope they'll oblige, we cannot guarantee you'll be able to see them.
The snow cover early in the season and in April is not guaranteed, and should it be insufficient for your snow-based excursions, alternate activities will be offered or the excursion may be cancelled.

Snowmobile safari to the Finnhorse farm
Get to know the local Finnish horse farm on this special excursion. The two-hour excursion starts with a snowmobile ride from the Wildlife Park with your guide. Your guide will give you driving instructions for the snowmobile before you head to Laivala, a traditional reindeer farm, home to more than 300 reindeer. You can also go on a reindeer ride on a sleigh. After the reindeer ride, you'll enjoy a hot drink and a small snack in the hut before heading back.

After a short drive, you might encounter some strange lights shining in the middle of the forest and you'll head closer on a sled, before you reach the yard of the secret cottage, decorated with lanterns.
