How to get there
The nearest airports to Ulm are Memmingen Airport, 60 kilometres away and Stuttgart Airport, 80 kilometres away. From Memmingen, you’re best off hiring a car to get to Ulm, and from Stuttgart, it's easy to get the train - just hop on the S-Bahn from the airport to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, then take the Graz Hbf train to Ulm Hauptbahnhof, which will take roughly an hour non-stop. From there, it’s a two-minute walk.

Ulm
Located between Munich and Stuttgart, the city of Ulm is set to surprise you. At its centre is a centuries-old church, Ulm Munster, whose steeple has unparalleled views across the city and beyond - you can even lay eyes on the Alps on clear days. Wonky, unique, timbered houses line the narrow streets of Fischerviertel, an area of the city that sits close to the Danube River, which marks the border between Baden-Wurttemberg and Bavaria.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy pedalling along the Rivers Route, which follows the Danube and its canals, and will also want to visit the Blautopf, a brilliant-blue spring ideal for sightseeing.
