How to get there
Grand Hotel Spiaggia is set right on the beachfront in the coastal resort of Alassio, just over an hour's drive from Genoa airport. Arriving on public transport, Alassio railway station, has connections to Genoa and is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. There are frequent buses that shuttle up and down this section of coast.

Alassio
One of the nicest resorts along this stretch of coast, upmarket Alassio is renowned for its fantastic beach and utterly charming old town. With an authentic air and often overlooked by tourists, this handsome town has no 'must-see' sights – instead, the beauty lies in wandering its maze of narrow alleyways, soaking up the views over the Ligurian Sea from the gorgeous promenade or lazing on the sandy shores, all with an ice cream in hand. There are plenty of top-notch restaurants to discover here too, and the streets are lined with everything from old-school pavement cafes to high-end trattorias all serving the finest Ligurian fare.
