How to get there
Hotel Palazzo del Garda lies in the town of Desenzano del Garda, on the southern shore of Lake Garda. You'll be about 40 minutes' drive from Verona's Valerio Catullo Airport, or just under two hours' drive from Venice Marco Polo Airport. We recommend hiring a car to make the most of this stunning region.

Desenzano del Garda
Lake Garda is a popular summer destination for travellers from all over Europe, who come for stunning vistas, delicious food, fun in the sun and romantic retreats all'Italiana. The area boasts a rich history too: Scaligero Castle, one of Italy's best-preserved fortresses, presides over the beautiful town of Sirmione on the lake's southern coast, and can be explored in combination with other ancient sites like the Grottoes of Catullus and the Roman Villa in Desenzano. Elsewhere, more outdoorsy types will find hiking and mountain biking trails aplenty, as well as opportunities for horse riding, golfing and plenty of water sports for thrills right on the lake.
