Kamari
The natural beauty and extraordinary uniqueness of Santorini cannot be overstated. Against the dazzling blue of the Aegean, the whitewashed villages jutting out of the sheer rock faces are all the more dazzling. It’s well worth exploring these charming villages and sampling something of the lifestyle of the island: Fira itself, where you’re based, is gorgeous and very handy for all your needs, while further afield Oia is much more peaceful and is a stunning quintessentially Cycladic little town boasting some stunning sunsets. Megalochori is another village well worth a visit. It’s home to a number of beautiful little churches and is the centre of the island's wine industry - a great spot for an afternoon's wine tasting. There are a number of great little beaches on Santorini, too: Perissa is probably the best amongst these, though the black pebble beach of Kamari is very popular too. Needless to say, the beaches are stunningly located against soaring cliff walls.
