Discover Tromsø's year-round Arctic magic, with seasonal excursions like the Northern Lights - includes breakfast, all travel & epic excursions

Get ready to discover the gateway to the Arctic - the Norwegian city of Tromsø. Located hundreds of metres above the Arctic Circle, Tromsø is home to the polar night, where instead of the sun rising, the winter night skies blaze with stars, and if you're lucky, the incredible Aurora Borealis too. In the summer, the city is a surreal, high-energy wonderland where the Midnight Sun eliminates the concept of "closing time," allowing you to hike, kayak, or dine under a golden glow at 2am.

Pick your season (summer or winter) and look forward to discovering Northern Norway in your own unique style. You can choose between a four, five, six, or seven-night itinerary (depending on the season), and take your pick from a range of optional excursions that’ll take your Norwegian adventure to the next level. In the winter, enjoy an included Northern Lights chase by minibus and an ice gallery visit, plus a pinch-me evening dinner cruise aboard a luxe boat. In the summer, you’ll climb to new heights with a panoramic ride on the Fjellheisen cable car up to the city’s rugged peaks. Incredible optional summer excursions include a Midnight Sun kayaking tour and a nighttime concert, while winter brings options such as a dog sledding activity, plus plenty more. Whatever the season, a sojourn in Tromsø is sure to delight.

Please note that the Northern Lights are of course a naturally occurring phenomenon, so while you will have a good chance of seeing them (and we'll cross our fingers for you), we cannot guarantee they will oblige!

Please note, Northern Lights season is between early September and end of April, while the Midnight Sun period is between May and August; during these months, the sun sets after midnight - perfect for experiencing "no darkness" evenings and enjoying full days of sightseeing.
