Al Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection lies along Dubai's Jumeirah Beach, about 30 minutes' drive from Dubai International Airport. Alternatively, you can hop on the MRed train to Damac Properties, and hail a taxi from there.

This is a great spot for water sports, with jet-skiing, scuba diving and windsurfing being among the most popular pursuits. If you've ever seen an aerial view of Palm Jumeirah, you'll be familiar with its spectacular fan-shaped fronds – a symbol of luxury on the Arabian Gulf. You can access Jumeirah Road easily from the hotel and drive along the centre (perhaps for a visit to the world's largest water park).
