Discover Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Patagonia and more on a spellbinding 11-night tour, with breakfast, excursions, and all travel

Day 1: UK - Buenos Aires, Argentina

Make your way to your departure airport ready to catch a flight to Buenos Aires. Night onboard.

Days 2-4: Buenos Aires

Today you'll touch down in the Argentinian capital, a vast, bustling city brimming with culture, character, and dazzling colonial architecture. After settling in at your hotel, you’ll have the rest of the day to spend as you wish, perhaps sampling the city’s atmospheric tango clubs, excellent restaurants and bustling shopping streets.

On day three, you’ll set off after breakfast on a three-hour tour of Buenos Aires, known as ‘the Paris of South America.’ Stroll through the glamorous neighbourhoods of Recoleta and Palermo, and tick off city landmarks like Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada government office, and the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral. You’ll also stop by the trendy Puerto Madero district, soak up old-world vibes in San Telmo, and visit the colourful La Boca neighbourhood. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, and come evening, why not opt for dinner and a tango show to sample Argentinian flavours and traditional entertainment?

Day four is yours to spend as you wish, perhaps revisiting your favourite spots, enjoying the city’s glorious green spaces, or discovering the capital’s shopping hotspots. Switch up cosmopolitan pursuits with a scenic half-day excursion to the Tigre Delta, where an enchanting boat ride down the river will take you past the dreamy landscapes of the Río de la Plata. In the evening, opt for a Fogón Asado dining experience to enjoy a lavish eight-course tasting menu, a chance to get up close and personal with Argentina’s world-famous steaks.

Days 5-7: Buenos Aires - Calafate

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for a short flight to El Calafate, the next stop on your journey. Located at the edge of Southern Patagonia, the town is known as the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, home of the legendary Perito Moreno glacier. After arriving at your hotel, you’ll have the rest of the day to spend as you wish, with an optional dinner at Asador La Tablita to initiate you into a long-standing tradition of local cuisine in a warm, convivial setting.

On day six, you’ll embark on a full-day excursion to Perito Moreno, perhaps the most famous glacier on Earth. Your day begins with a walk through the Patagonian Andean forest, stopping at the Curva de los Suspiros viewpoint to take in your first sighting of the glacier. Next, you’ll hike through a series of walkways to see the glacier up close, and if you’re lucky, you may even see chunks of ice breaking away from the glacier and plummeting into the lake below. You’ll then set sail from Bajo de las Sombras Bay for a bucket-list boat trip along the glacier’s southern wall, and if you’re feeling adventurous, top it up with an optional mini-trek across the glacier. (Please note that although there is a bar within the park, we recommend bringing a packed lunch on this excursion. This can be requested at your hotel one day in advance, for an additional fee.)

The following day you’ll be free to explore El Calafate at your own pace. Top up your sightseeing by choosing between two wonderful optional excursions - a stunning panoramic Glacier Cruise, or experiencing local living with a visit to a traditional Estancia.

Day 8: El Calafate - Puerto Natales

This morning, you’ll transfer to the bus station ready to travel to the next stop on your adventure. Admire the otherworldly landscapes of Patagonia as you cross the Chilean border and arrive at Puerto Natales, an idyllic former fishing port overlooking the Señoret Channel. Upon arrival, you’ll get to explore the town at your leisure, drifting between corrugated tin houses and cosy old-style lodgings under the watchful gaze of the soaring peaks beyond. (Please note that bus times from El Calafate to Puerto Natales may vary. Information and details of the schedule will be provided 15 days prior to departure.)

Days 9-10: Puerto Natales

An unforgettable day awaits as you head off to explore the famous Torres del Paine National Park, an icon of Chile’s natural beauty and a magnet for adventure-seekers from around the world. Set off into the ethereal landscape of Southern Patagonia, stopping by the Milodon Cave before entering the park to see the Sofia Lagoon, Cordillera Prat, Porteno Lake and more. Stroll along the shores of the glittering Gray Lake, and be sure to snap some photos at the Gray Lake Viewpoint. After a short rest stop, you’ll continue into the Salto Grande sector of the park to visit the Nordenskjold Lake Viewpoint, Paine Waterfall and Amarga Lake. Your last stop will be the Sarmiento Lake Viewpoint, where you’ll enjoy a magical sunset before returning to your hotel.

Day 10 is yours to spend as you wish, perhaps visiting the local history museum and taking in spellbinding sea views from the Hand Monument. Take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront to soak up the city’s tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings, or go for an optional Grey Lake cruise to take in floating icebergs and towering mountains over a pisco sour.

Day 11: Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas - Santiago

Today, you’ll hop on a bus for a scenic three-hour journey to Punta Arenas Airport, where you’ll catch a flight to the Chilean capital. After arriving in Santiago, you’ll have the rest of the day to spend as you prefer, whether that’s strolling past ornate colonial architecture in the city’s historic centre, admiring the Andean mountains around you, or people-watching from one of many local cafés.

Day 12: Santiago

The city is your oyster today, as you embark on a half-day tour of Santiago. Starting in the city-centre, you’ll take to the cobbled streets of Lastarría, an elegant neighbourhood whose lavish 19th-century mansions now house a range of cafés, restaurants, museums and more. Next, you’ll head to Cerro Santa Lucía to take in spectacular city views, before descending the hill and stopping by the iconic Plaza de Armas, Santiago Cathedral and former national congress building. Later on, top up a visit to La Moneda Palace and Plaza de la Constitución with the fragrant aromas and fresh produce of the Central Market, before continuing to a Lapis Lazuli store to admire beautiful handmade jewellery. Return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, and perhaps indulge in a glass of top-notch Chilean wine.

Day 13: Santiago - UK

Transfer to the airport ready to catch your flight home, and be sure to pack some souvenirs, photographs and once-in-a-lifetime memories to take home with you.
