Day 1: UK - Hurghada -Luxor

Take in dazzling desert landscapes and the deep blue waters of the Red Sea as you touch down in Hurghada, ready to be whisked away on a scenic four-hour drive to Luxor. Once here, settle into your cabin aboard the MS Renaissance, and rest up ahead of your adventure.

Day 2: Luxor

A vast open-air museum, Luxor is a must-see stop on any Egypt itinerary, and today you’ll have the chance to discover its top-billed sights. Step off your stylish cruise ship to immerse yourself in this bustling city, once the thriving ancient capital of Thebes and the largest city in the world. You’ll find magnificent monuments at every turn, and an optional tour of the sprawling Karnak and Luxor temples will get you clued-up on these world-famous landmarks.

Day 3: Luxor - Edfu

Tick off more bucket-list sights in Luxor today, perhaps crossing over to the city’s West Bank to admire the lavish tombs of the Theban necropolis. Embark on an optional tour of the Valley of the Kings, and stop by the breathtaking Hatshepsut Temple to see the vast final resting place of Egypt’s beloved female Pharaoh. Round off your visit with a snap of the aptly-named Colossi of Memnon statues, before returning aboard ready to sail down the river to Edfu.

Day 4: Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan

Today you’ll be dropping anchor in Edfu, where you’ll have the option to visit the stunning Temple of Horus, dedicated to the eponymous bird-headed god worshipped by the ancient Egyptians. Stroll through towering colonnades to see the temple’s well-preserved hieroglyphs, before boarding your ship and setting sail for Aswan. On the way, you’ll also pass by Kom Ombo for an optional tour of the Temple of Sobek, a unique structure that dates back to the Ptolemaic dynasty.

Day 5: Aswan

Framed by rugged landscapes and boasting its fair share of historical landmarks, this magical city has plenty to please. Discover Aswan’s highlights with an optional tour, which will take you past the Aswan Dam - one of the largest of its kind on Earth - the Unfinished Obelisk, and the enchanting temple complex on Philae Island.

Day 6: Aswan - Abu Simbel - Edfu

This morning, you’ll head south to Abu Simbel, where you may wish to disembark for a tour of its gigantic rock-carved temples and awe-inspiring statues. Later on, board the MS Renaissance to begin the journey back upriver to Edfu, soaking up more spellbinding scenery along the way.

Day 7: Edfu - Luxor

Sit back and watch as Egypt’s otherworldly landscapes stream past - today will be spent sailing back to Luxor. With nothing specific on the agenda, you’ll have plenty of time to make the most of the fantastic facilities on your sleek cruise ship, and prepare to top up your whirlwind sightseeing with all-out relaxation on the morrow.

Day 8: Luxor - Hurghada

Today you’ll bid farewell to the MS Renaissance as you find your land legs and transfer to Hurghada, where luxurious beach bliss awaits.

Days 9-10: Hurghada

Unwind after your travels at the five-star KaiSol Romance Resort Sahl Hasheesh, a spectacular beachfront resort at the heart of one of Hurghada’s most exclusive neighbourhoods. Soak up the sun by the fabulous outdoor pools, pamper yourself at the spa, or saunter down to the beach to feel the Red Sea lapping gently against your feet.

Day 11: Hurghada - UK

After soaring through your Egypt bucket-list and kicking back in Sahl Hasheesh, it’s time to transfer to Hurghada for your return flight home.
