• Day 2: Manila city tour •

Travel back in time as you immerse yourself in Manila’s rich history on this whistlestop tour. You’ll pass by the Cultural Center of the Philippines and along the picturesque Manila Bay, before reaching Rizal Park, one of the country’s most famous historical sites where the Filipino Revolution hero José Rizal took his final steps before execution. After a short drive, you’ll reach the indestructible Fort Santiago, the headquarters of the Spanish government in the 17th century, before stopping by the Manila Cathedral and Casa Manila - a replica of a house from the late Spanish colonial era. Alternatively, you can opt to take a walking tour of the ancient city walls to see the Presidential Gallery and other historic buildings. If your tour takes place in the hot afternoon, you can opt to stop for a refreshment on the sky deck at The Bayleaf hotel, where you can take in panoramic city views and perhaps admire the famous sunset over Manila Bay.

• Day 4: Coron ‘Super Ultimate Island Tour’ •

Standard or Deluxe category: Take in towering limestone formations, enchanting lakes and lagoons, and the crystal-clear sea lapping white, sandy beaches on this breathtaking tour around Coron. You’ll find picture-perfect views at every turn, from dreamy coastlines to sunken shipwrecks and plenty of colourful fish and coral reefs beneath the waves.

Premier category: Since Club Paradise Palawan is located on the north side of the island of Busuanga, it is comparatively removed from the attractions around the island of Coron, which lies off the south coast of Busuanga. An island-hopping tour can therefore be arranged directly through the resort, and will take you to the magnificent islands around your hotel.

• Day 7: El Nido Island-hopping - Tour A •

Standard or Deluxe category: During this magical island-hopping tour of El Nido, you’ll pass through more enchanting lagoons and beaches, and spot amazing rock formations and untouched nature in the magnificent Bacuit Bay. Located on a small island and lined with imposing karst cliffs, the Secret Lagoon is the ultimate castaway destination, and may remind film fans and bookworms of Alex Garland’s famed novel The Beach. Later on, snorkel through colourful reefs before enjoying lunch on the small island of Shimizu, before spotting marine life in the idyllic Big Lagoon. Your final destination will be the sandy, palm-fringed shores of Seven Commandos Beach, named after the seven Japanese soldiers who stayed there after World War II.

Standard or Deluxe category: Soak up dazzling views of the region’s most beautiful coastlines and beaches with this fantastic tour of Coron, stopping on the neighbouring islands of Malcapuya, Ditaytayan and Bulog Dos. If you've always dreamt of escaping to a tropical paradise far from the hustle and bustle, this full-day excursion is just the ticket.
Destinations: Malcapuya Island, Ditaytayan Sandbar, Bulog Dos Island

Duration: approximately seven to eight hours

Premier category: Stick around your luxurious digs to discover the fairytale island of Dimakya. As an alternative to the Coron ‘Island Escapade,’ a tour of the surrounding area can be arranged for you directly through the resort.

• Day 8: El Nido Island-hopping - Tour B •

Standard or Deluxe category: Embark on an exciting adventure as you take in more beautiful beaches, magical caves, and a unique sandbank that stretches far out into the sea. You'll stop by Snake Island, Cudugnon Cave, Cathedral Cave, and the islands of Lagen and Pinagbuyutan. When the waters are calm, the reef off Pangulasian is the perfect place for snorkelling, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot some turtles and Blacktip sharks.

• Day 8: El Nido Island-hopping - Tour C •

Standard or Deluxe category: On this excursion, you’ll discover the amazing rock formations and hidden beaches that inspired Alex Garland to write his famous novel The Beach. Some of the islands on this tour have featured in famous media productions - The Bourne Legacy which was shot on the islands of Dilumacad and Matinloc. Drift between a vast pristine beach, an underwater tunnel and colourful fringing reef on Dilumacad, before heading further out into the bay to Tapiutan for a spot of diving and snorkelling. Nearby Matinloc is the longest island in front of El Nido, and dazzles with its secluded white-sand beach, located on the edge of a sinkhole that cannot be reached by boat. Your final stop will be Star Beach, another fantastic snorkelling spot where you’ll also enjoy a delicious lunch.
