Indulge at the spa, go for a bike ride or hit the courts for a friendly game of tennis. After getting your fix of fresh air, retreat into the grand country house and find a quiet spot in the beautifully appointed drawing room where you can put your feet up with a good book.

How to get there
The closest railway station is Arlesey, less than a mile away and easily walkable from the hotel. Direct trains run from here to Gatwick Airport, Kings Cross St Pancras International, London Bridge, and Peterborough. A car park is also available on site.

Set among 150 acres of lush parkland and on the banks of the peaceful River Purwell, it's hard to believe that Champneys Henlow is just an hour from the hustle and bustle of London. With a world-class spa, tennis courts, a gym and other excellent fitness facilities, plus acres of gardens to explore, it's also hard to imagine wanting to explore anywhere outside of these beautiful grounds.
However, should guests wish to venture further afield, the pretty villages of Henlow, Arlesey and Hitchin are close by. Should you be wanting a dose of culture, head to see The Shuttleworth Collection, one of the world’s most prestigious aeronautical and automotive museums.
