Amsterdam’s city centre is just 30 minutes north by both car and bike - one of the best ways to get around in this stunning, cyclable city. You’re in the suburb of Amstelveen here, in between Amsterdam Forest, a sprawling green space with a lovely lake, and the Amstel River. Just minutes away you’ll find one of the country’s trademark windmills. Venturing into the city couldn’t be easier on bike, on foot or on public transport, to visit Vondelpark and its museums, which include the Rijiksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. Also easily accessible are the Anne Frank House, Rembrandthuis, and the charming canals that wind their way through the city.
