Get exploring along the peninsula's extensive network of walking and cycling routes, or take a deep-dive into the area's rich history - must-sees included the UNESCO-listed 6th-century Euphrasian Basilica at Poreč, about 25 minutes down the coast, and the Roman amphitheatre in Pula a further 45 minutes away. Don't miss the chance to sample the area's agrotourism - a good place to start is the picturesque hilltop village of Motovun, which is half an hour inland.
