You’ll be staying in Slovenia’s coastal town of Portorož (meaning Port of Roses), on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula. Must-dos include visiting the picture-perfect city of Piran for its well-preserved old town, admiring the unique collection of stone sculptures on display at Forma Viva, and marvelling at the huge stalagmites at the famous 12-mile long Postojna Cave.
