Natural delights: From breakfast to dinner, there’s one word to describe food at Hotel Belvedere: local. Each morning, expect to find freshly-prepared egg dishes, homemade bread, cheese from local farms, and ham and sausage from the village butcher, as well as an array of sweet pastries, seasonal fruits, yoghurts and fresh juice. Later on, dishes in the restaurant blend mountain tradition with Mediterranean flavour, using the best of fresh regional produce. After dinner, head to the bar to sample the famous wines of South Tyrol.
How to get there
The hotel is located just outside the village of Jenesien (known as San Genesio Atesino in Italian), north of Bolzano. From Bolzano Airport it’s roughly a 30-minute drive to the hotel. Both Innsbruck Airport and Valerio Catullo Airport in Verona are about one and half to two and half hours away by car. The direct train from Verona to Bolzano takes an hour and a half.
