How to get there
Located on Germany's Baltic Sea coast, the Grand Hotel Seeschlösschen Sea Retreat & SPA is a 40-minute drive to Lübeck Airport, while Hamburg Airport takes around an hour and 20 minutes by car. Timmendorfer Strand train station is also just a six-minute drive from the hotel.

Please note that depending on capacity, short-term reservations for the restaurant may not be possible, so it's highly recommended that dining reservations are made in advance. For specific spa treatments, we also recommend contacting the hotel in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Whilst the wellness facilities at this five-star hotel make it very difficult to leave, there's a whole host of local must-sees for those seeking some seaside exploration.The sandy seven-kilometre long beaches of Timmendorfer Strand are right on your doorstep and are a hub for water sports, as well as acting as the perfect stretch for a long, relaxing stroll. The Sea Life aquarium is also just a 12-minute walk from the hotel and is home to creatures such as otters and sharks. The nearby Timmendorfer Platz also boasts a wide variety of cosy cafés and restaurants.
If you want to travel a little further afield, the Vogelpark Niendorf bird sanctuary is a 30-minute walk or a six-minute drive away, and has flamingo pools, owl shelters and a free-flying aviary to discover. Nearby trails also circle the vast lakeside circumference of the idyllic Hemmelsdorfer See.
