The Tannheimer valley is beautiful all year round, with jaw-dropping mountain scenery to explore. Hop on a hiking trail to discover this beautiful landscape on foot. The adventure trail at the top of the Neunerköpfle cable car is perfect for casual hikers or families, just two kilometres long and dotted with information stations to teach you all about the regional flora and fauna. The more adventurous can head out on the Three-Lakes circular hike, a challenging trek that will lead you to stunning views of some of the prettiest lakes in the area, including gorgeous Vilsalpsee.
When the snow starts falling, swap hiking boots for snow boots and hit the slopes. The cable car is just a short walk away, and plenty of ski areas are easily accessible all throughout the valley. You’ll find pistes for all abilities - kids will love tobogganing at nearby ICE AGE Kinderland, while grown-ups will find red runs and a black run at Tannheim Ski Resort, also just a few minutes away.
