How to get there
The nearest international railway station is in Zell am See, around a 30-minute drive from the hotel or 45 minutes on public transport. There is also a railway station in Saalfelden, around a 10-minute drive from the hotel, with a bus covering most of the route. Salzburg Airport is just over two hours away by public transport, or an hour-and-a-quarter drive. Munich airport is around 200 kilometres from the hotel.

The Hochkönig ski resort offers 120 kilometres of slopes with ski runs for all levels of ability. You can also try your hand at cross-country skiing, with 40 kilometres of trails prepared across the valley floor. Strap on the snowshoes to explore the winter wonderland at a more leisurely pace, or hop on a horse-drawn carriage ride for a touch of romance.
When the snow melts away there’s a whole new landscape to be discovered. From gentle walks to challenging mountain hikes, countless trails crisscross the surrounding slopes, with the hiking bus ready to take you further afield if you’re hit with the urge to explore.
