Bed down at a charming Edwardian hotel in the heart of medieval Bruges – includes breakfast, a welcome gift, late check-out and more
-
Superb location: Hotel Montanus is a charmingly authentic Edwardian hotel, conveniently located near the Church of Our Lady. The building used to be the house of Frank Van Acker, one-time mayor of Bruges, so you can expect architecture and décor that are suitably grand. The building has a classical feel, with a grand façade and entrance to welcome you.
-
Delightful dining: Garden-facing Den Heerd serves a delectable menu of traditional and contemporary cuisine in a minimalist-chic setting. The décor is all cool-slate walls and low-slung warm lighting to create an atmosphere that’s both super-stylish and inviting.
-
Contemporary style: Guest rooms occupy a blissful portion of the main building or are situated in the well-tended garden. The rooms are modern with a minimalist colour palette and the occasional flourish of accent colour on soft furnishings. You can expect Belgian bed linen by Decopur and luxury bathroom amenities.
How to get there

Bruges
Time has stood still on the medieval streets of Bruges. Belgium’s most-visited city is a postcard-perfect mix of traditional canals, bustling market squares and chocolate-box alms houses. It’s popular, but Bruges has more than enough personality and charm to deserve its reputation as one of the prettiest and best-preserved cities in Europe.
The hotel is right in the centre of Bruges, within easy walking distance to several key destinations. Doorstep attractions include the Hans Hemling Museum, the Church of Our Lady and the Groenigemuseum. The Lake of Love and the Basilica of the Holy Blood are nearby and the Old St John congress site is just a short stroll from the hotel. Without doubt, the best way to get around the city is by bike – you’ll find lots of affordable hire shops in the city centre.
