London city slicking with an exceptional five-star stay at The Standard’s first hotel in Europe, located in King’s Cross - includes breakfast

  • Fun-loving vibe: Setting the stage for The Standard’s first European outpost, The Standard London is a meticulously restored hang-out housed in the Brutalist former Camden Town Hall Annex. But don’t let the name fool you - there’s nothing standard about this hotel, from its thriving King’s Cross location to its retro-yet-futurist style, artsy events, and unique dining.

  • Memorable dining affair: Accessible only by the exterior red-pill lift, Decimo is a delectable debut by Michelin-star Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, who merges home cooked Spanish cuisine with his love of Mexico. Elsewhere, The Rooftop offers stunning skyline views and tasty eats, Isla tempts with a seasonal menu, Sweeties offers delicious cocktails amid a glitzy late-night lounge, and the Double Standard acts as the place to go for hearty fare and draft beers.

  • Unique personality: The hotel’s beating heart is the Sounds Studio, home to a recording booth, performance pod, and living magazine. And as if that wasn’t cool enough, they have their own radio station, Sometimes Radio. When you’ve finished tuning in to fresh mixes, panel discussions, and Library Lounge archive sessions, head to the confines of your cinematic-style guestroom.

How to get there

The hotel is located in the King’s Cross neighbourhood, mere metres from King’s Cross St Pancras Underground Station and St Pancras International. This station has links to six London Underground lines - the Circle, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, Northern, Metropolitan, and Victoria lines - so you can easily reach the rest of London without having to travel too far.

Good to know

Please note that dinner reservations for the hotel's restaurants are highly recommended in order to avoid any disappointment.
Please also note that The Rooftop is for over 18s only. If wet weather occurs, a reservation at Double Standard will be arranged.

Entry requirements

The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. Please also be sure to check the validity of your passport and allow up to 10 weeks for passport renewals.

London

The thriving King’s Cross neighbourhood is a traffic-free oasis in the heart of central London with something for everyone to enjoy. Wander along the winding waterway of Regent’s Canal, and witness the fountains at Granary Square, all before heading for the upmarket boutiques, lifestyle brands, hip bars, and trendy eateries of the Coal Drops Yard complex.

Home to one of London’s major train lines, the rest of the Big Smoke is right at your fingertips. But before boarding a train, Harry Potter fans won’t want to miss the chance to have their photograph taken at famous Platform 9¾. The Eurostar is also on hand for any European adventures should you fancy crossing the Channel.
