How to get there
Located in Glücksburg in Germany’s northernmost region of Schleswig-Holstein, Intermar Hotel & Apartments are about an hour’s drive from Sønderborg Airport, which is just across the border in Denmark. Alternatively, Hamburg Airport is just under two hours away, and we recommend hiring a car to travel with ease.
Good to know
Please note that the Gudlak Restaurant will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. On these days you can enjoy a 2-course dinner of the chef's choice at the Glückselig Restaurant, a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from your hotel.
Entry requirements

Glücksburg
Glücksburg is Germany’s northernmost town, renowned for both its magical natural scenery and cultural attractions. Just across the water lies Denmark, giving this fjord-facing town a little Nordic flair. So when you aren’t whiling away the hours on the beach, take a stroll through the pretty town centre to soak up its charming atmosphere - you’ll also find a smattering of cafés and eateries lining its picturesque streets.
Not to be missed is the dazzling Schloss Glücksburg, a glistening white castle jutting out onto a lake. One of the region’s landmark sites, the spot could be taken straight out of a fairytale, and has historical clout to match: the spot has hosted a string of European royals, and played its part in Schleswig-Holstein’s eventful history. Discover it for yourself at the in-house museum, before enjoying a stroll through its enchanting orangery and gardens. Elsewhere, active types can choose between the town’s beautiful seafront promenade, the area’s scenic hiking and cycling trails and even a nearby surf school, while the nearby cities of Flensburg and Kiel are great for a culture-soaked day-trip.
