Experience the first rural village in Vietnam to be recognized by UNESCO for the preservation of cultural heritage on this fabulous day tour. You'll pass through the old gate of Duong Lam and pay a visit the traditional village in the northern delta of the Red River, founded around 1,200 years ago. Take a leisurely stroll through the narrow streets or rent a bike to see the village market, Mia Pagoda, and community house in the hamlet of Mong Phu. You can sample traditional rice wine at a local producer's and enjoy a delicious lunch with local hosts before visiting the temples of Phung Hung and King Ngo Quyen.

In Luang Prabang, this entertaining cooking class will introduce you to the secrets of Laotian cuisine, which - due to the geographical location of Laos as the only landlocked country in Southeast Asia - has many exciting characteristics. First the chef will visit a market with you and show you the best herbs, ingredients and snacks, after which you can roll up your sleeves and get cooking under his guidance, preparing your own lunch - which will include tasty and traditional sticky rice.

• Highlights of Bangkok (including lunch)

You'll visit two of Bangkok's main attractions as part of this tour: the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho - a giant Buddha covered in gold leaf - and the magnificent Grand Palace complex. You'll also take a trip along the Chao Phraya River and visit the beautiful temple of Wat Arun with its 76 metre-high pagoda.

• Floating Market, Wat Bang Kung & Train Market (including lunch)

To discover the Bangkok of days gone by, head to Damnoen Saduak's floating market, located approximately 100 kilometres outside the city. Follow up with a visit to the unique Wat Bang Kung.
