How to get there
Zante Maris Suites sits in an elevated position within the peaceful village of Tsilivi, just outside the larger town of Planos on Zakynthos’ east coast. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Zakynthos Airport and taxis are readily available, or you could hire a car to explore the beautiful island in more detail. The hotel has a buggy service which can collect you from the bottom of the hill on request.
Entry requirements
The passport, visa and health requirements at the time of booking can be viewed on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website for UK citizens, and on the Department of Foreign Affairs website for IE citizens. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration/entry requirements before you travel, including whether your passport must be machine readable or which visas/waivers may be required for entry, such as ESTA for USA travel and/or ETIAS for EU travel. The island of Zakynthos (or Zante) is a rocky gem cast adrift in the Ionian Sea, surrounded by sparkling waters that lap onto paradisiacal white beaches or up against sheer cliffs. The rocky, hill-strewn interior is carpeted in olive trees and small, tumbledown villages - many now abandoned after the earthquake in 1953. The island offers many facets to suit all visitors: thriving nightlife in Zakynthos Town or Laganas, exploring the island’s history at the Venetian Castle or its forgotten villages, snorkelling and watersports on its beautiful beaches (a trip to Marathonisi ‘turtle island’ to learn about the endangered loggerhead sea turtles is a must-do) or sampling the delicious fresh Mediterranean cuisine in one of the island’s excellent-family run tavernas.
