Upper Street, where the Hilton London Angel Islington is located, was once lined with over 50 ale houses and attractions - while it’s certainly had an upgrade since the 18th century, there are still a vast number of bars, restaurants, cafes and things to do on this wide, leafy avenue which provides a direct link into the heart of London. Within a 15-minute walk of the hotel you’ll find Sadler’s Wells Theatre as well as a number of fringe theatres and the old-school Almeida, canal-side pubs and cafes alongside the Regent’s Canal (barge rides not obligatory, but recommended) and more charming bakeries, cocktail bars, brunch spots and gastropubs than you can shake a stick at.
