Cycling with a guide in Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
Discover Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, the landmark nature reserve of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), as you whizz around on two wheels. The former farm was declared a nature reserve in 1961 and is now the kingdom’s most popular eco destination; meaning, “small fire”, the sanctuary got the name “Mlilwane” from the many fires caused by lightning striking on Mlilwane Hill. Thanks to the relative absence of any dangerous wildlife, you can cycle safely through the reserve, exploring the protected area of diverse habitats and rich biodiversity.
Half-day game drive in Hluhluwe Park with lunch
Sprawling out over 96,000 hectares, Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park is the oldest game reserve in Africa and home to all of the Big Five game animals. The park is famous for its contribution to the protection of black and white rhinos and is home to the largest population of white rhinos in the world. On your half-day drive you’ll have the opportunity to spot all of this incredible wildlife as you cruise over rolling hills and across scenic open savannah.
Hippo and crocodile boat tour in St Lucia
The expansive St Lucia Estuary - the largest estuary system in southern Africa - is rich in biodiversity, playing home to one of the largest populations of wild hippos in South Africa, as well as over a thousand Nile crocodiles. On your boat trip, you’ll have a great chance to get up close with these incredible animals as your personal skipper or guide shares interesting facts about the estuary and its inhabitants.
Morning safari in Kruger National Park
Famous around the world, Kruger National Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa, housing in its 2 million hectares around 147 species of mammal, more than 500 species of birds and 336 species of trees, as well as carefully-preserved archaeological sites like the Bushman petroglyphs.
