For a touch of culture, head to the capital. The delightful Old Town of Funchal is perfect for scenic strolls amid colourful buildings, beautiful period architecture and spectacular views of the bay. The city-centre’s quaint streets are lined with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants from which to sample local living and regional flavours, and at the heart of it all is the imposing 16th-century Sé Cathedral, which is well worth a visit.

Please note that as this is a new property, not all facilities are in service. There are currently four restaurants open: three à la carte and one buffet. The buffet restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. The à la carte restaurants are only open for dinner and it is necessary to make a reservation. The ice cream parlour is temporarily out of service. Further details will be provided at check-in.
