Visit to the Pura Besakih

Visit Klungkung and explore a 17th century palace. In its heyday, the palace was surrounded by a moat, and numerous courtyards and pavilions were embedded in the green of the park. Only a few buildings remain today, as most of them were built in the early 20th century and were destroyed by the Dutch occupiers. You’ll then visit the 11th century Goa Lawah Temple, which was founded by a Hindu monk and located in a cave that is inhabited by numerous bats. Make a stop in the small village of Tenganan and after a short break, continue your route to the Bukit Jambul viewpoint. Visit the Pura Besakih, the most important and largest temple in Bali which lies on the slope of Mount Agung.

Upon arrival in Tulamben, you will meet your instructor who will give you a quick briefing on the dive site, safety measures and dive plan. Once you and your gear are ready, begin your first dive at the USAT Liberty Shipwreck. Explore the wreck that lies just offshore and enjoy the colourful underwater world. After the dive, take a break on the surface, enjoy refreshments, and discuss the first dive. The rest of the time is free to explore Tulamben, relax on the beach, or snorkel before being dropped back at your accommodation.

Visit to Tirtagangga and Lempuyang Temple

Take time to take a leisurely stroll through the gardens, soak up the tranquil atmosphere, and snap plenty of photos. Then drive to Lempuyang Temple, also known as the 'Gateway to Heaven'. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Lempuyang Temple is famous for its split gate that frames Mount Agung in the background. Prepare for a moderate hike of around 30-45 minutes to reach the temple entrance. Spend time exploring the Lempuyang Temple complex and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and Mount Agung.
