How to get there

Maldron Hotel Belfast City is about 10 minutes from Belfast City Airport and 25 minutes from Belfast International, while the port (for Stena Line services to Liverpool) is around 15 minutes’ drive. Belfast is well served by trains and the soon-to-be-finished Grand Central Station (due to open in autumn 2024) is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The city’s other stations (Lanyon Place, City Hospital and Botanic) are all around five minutes’ drive away.

Belfast

Belfast has a compact city centre that’s easy to explore, with a range of diverse sights showcasing Northern Ireland’s tumultuous and fascinating history. Learn all about the Titanic in the stunning Titanic Museum, where you can find out all about the city’s shipbuilding heritage. Trace the timeline of ‘the Troubles’ through the political murals daubed on the sides of buildings and the city’s ‘peace walls’, with other emotive subjects including the Great Famine, censorship and football. The city’s burgeoning culinary scene offers a huge range of restaurants to try, from steak houses and grand cafes to flavoursome Cuban joints and lively pizzerias.
