How to get there

The hotel is located in the Cornish village of Mitchell, less than 350 yards from the A30. If you’re travelling by train, Truro station is eight miles away and roughly 15 minutes by car, while Bodmin station is 19 miles away and around 22 minutes by car.

Thanks to the property’s location in the village of Mitchell, you’re a short drive from Newquay, St Austell, and Truro. Newquay is a hub of surf culture, and you’ll be a short drive from famed Fistral Beach. Watergate Bay is no less impressive and is prone to barrels, a favourite of surfers everywhere. The Cribbar, however, is the real challenge, with waves reaching 35 feet in height if conditions are right - be warned though, only seasoned pros should head into the water here, and beginners are better off watching the masters work the waves from the beach.

Padstow and the Eden Project are also less than a half-hour drive away, and the coastline itself is nothing short of stunning. Lace up and head off around the coastal paths on foot, explore the little boutiques and surf shops in the town centre, or pull on your wetsuit and get in the water.
