How to get there
Das Walchsee Aktivresort is located in the village of Walchsee, on the northern shore of the lake of the same name, within the Kaiserwinkl region of Tirol. The hotel is easily reached from the cities of Salzburg, Innsbruck and Munich, all of which have airports within 90 minutes’ drive of the hotel.
Entry requirements

Walchsee
On the shores of Lake Walchsee, the village of Walchsee is chocolate-box pretty and the perfect base for the start of adventures in Tirol. It’s close to the German border, in the area known as Kaiserwinkl (which translates as ‘Emperor’s Corner’) and is popular with day trippers - so the historic centre doesn’t get overly crowded. Top activities lean towards the energetic, such as hiking in the mountains and foothills, mountain biking and cycling, swimming in the lake - which warms to a balmy 23 degrees in the summer months - and zooming down the alpine slides. In the winter, snowsports are the top draw, such as skiing and snowboarding, cross country skiing and tobogganing.
