How to get there
The hotel’s nearest airport is Friedrichshafen Airport which is approximately an hour’s drive from Steigenberger Inselhotel. Additionally, if you're travelling from Zurich airport, trains to Konstanz frequently depart from the nearby Rümlang station. The hotel is also conveniently situated in direct proximity to Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

Konstanz

With an area of around 536 square kilometres, Lake Constance is the largest inland body of water in Germany. It's not just its size but also the unique backdrop of the foothills of the Alps that makes it a top travel destination for nature-based recreation. All along the 260-kilometre Lake Constance cycle path you can discover numerous charming towns, castles and vineyards. Much of the attraction is centred around the lakeshore: hop aboard a pleasure cruiser and glide across the lake to enjoy stellar views.

Constance is a thriving and contemporary university town. If you want to join the hubbub, visit the bars and restaurants of Constance Harbour or, for a more sophisticated evening and a view of the Rhine, spend a while walking through the Mainau Botanical Gardens and tasting cocktails at Stomeyer- Die Bleiche. Just a short walk from the hotel, you can slip away into the awe-inspiring past of the Dominican monasteries. Immerse yourself in another world finding frescoes and spending time amidst the medieval flair of the Old Town.
