How to get there
Briery Wood Country House Hotel enjoys a peaceful woodland location, just a two-minute drive from Ambleside, with its host of shops, cafés, restaurants and excellent walks. It's only a five-minute walk from Low Wood Bay Watersports Centre for those who wish to get active on Windermere, and 10 minutes from the dramatic scenery of the Langdales. There's also a train station at Windemere. Coming by car? Take the M6 north and turn off at the A591; onsite parking is available.

Ambleside, and the surrounding villages and hamlets, offer museums, churches and historical landmarks aplenty, or you can easily take the ferry to Bowness if you fancy venturing a little further.
