You’ll pull into Berlin in the early morning. Have a look around the local cafés and bakeries for a tasty breakfast; if the weather is good, you could even find a spot along the river and take your treats for a morning picnic. Then your Berlin adventure truly begins!
From fascinating museums and historic monuments to cute cafés and pretty parks, Berlin is whatever you want it to be. That being said, you absolutely shouldn’t skip a walk along the East Side Gallery - a 1.3-kilometre stretch of the Berlin Wall that now bears scores of colourful murals, making it the longest open-air museum in the world. A visit to the opulent Charlottenburg Palace is another worthy trip, a little further outside the city. Berlin really comes alive at night; dance the night away in one of the city’s world-renowned clubs or catch a colourful performance at Friedrichstadt-Palast, home to one of the world’s largest stages. When it comes to food, you’re spoilt for choice; sample local favourites like currywurst and pfannkuchen (Berlin doughnuts), but save room for the city’s vibrant international offerings as well.
