Suitable for beginners and more experienced drivers alike, this thrilling snowmobile excursion will take you through snowy forests and across frozen lakes. Your snowmobile guide will teach you driving techniques, how to cross the roads and drive safely on the ice, then it’s over to you! On the way, you’ll also stop to enjoy a hot drink and biscuits.
Full-Day Snowmobile Safari
Escape into the wilderness on a snowmobile safari, taking remote tracks through the snowy landscapes of Lapland. A bit more challenging, this excursion will take you up hills, across rivers and along lakes and swamps. During the trip, you’ll enjoy lunch in the forest, accompanied with a hot drink.
Adventure with Arctic Dogs
Visit a local husky farm where the eager Arctic dogs are waiting to meet you. You’ll enjoy a speedy five-kilometre dog sleigh drive through the snowy forest, where two passengers will share the sleigh and take turns driving. After the ride, a husky guide will tell you all about the life of the dogs by an open fire as you enjoy a hot drink and biscuits.
Ride the Winter Path with Huskies
Transfer to a local husky farm, where you’ll meet the musher and his Arctic dogs at his place. You’ll learn how to steer the husky sleigh and follow along the path of the first explorers with a 10-kilometre husky safari through the magnificent taiga forest and frozen marsh. Two passengers will share the sleigh and take turns in driving. After the ride, the musher will tell you all about the life of the dogs by an open fire as you enjoy a hot drink and biscuits.
Husky Safari in the Wilderness
Head to husky camp, where you’ll learn how to handle the husky sleigh before setting out into the wilderness with the dogs. Enjoy beautiful scenery as the dogs speed you through the landscape. Half-way through you’ll swap drivers and head back to the camp, where you can spend some time petting the dogs and taking some adorable pictures. The musher will offer cookies, hot drinks and stories about the sled dogs.
Aurora Hunting with Snowmobiles
As beautiful twilight sets in, you’ll set out from Ylläsjärvi village into the woods, stopping at a Lappish tepee by a small lake where you’ll enjoy a hot drink by a warming open fire. If the weather is clear, you’ll be able to see the stars twinkling brightly in the sky and spot the different constellations. Your guide will tell stories about the Northern Lights and - if luck is on your side - you might even see the magnificent light show for yourself.
Seeking Northern Lights Photo Tour
Hunt the Northern Lights through winter landscapes as a bus drives you around 200 kilometres between several different spots with the best chance of seeing this natural phenomenon. The guide will be your photographer and take some photos for you, also sharing some useful tips for photographing in the dark so you can snap your own amazing shots.
